Guerilla Bird Tables:
A revolutionary act of care for the insurgent inner-city bird lover.
Part of Embrace The Placeat Tate Britain with Home Live Art, 3rd Sept, 2011
This project is inspired by the rapid decline in bird species within London, most notably Sparrows, whose population has decreased by 64% since 1979, and Starlings, who have decreased by 77% within the same timeframe. Part of the reason for this decrease in garden and city birds is a lack of food supply and shelter, caused by an increasing urbanised environment. Guerilla Bird Tables invites people to act from a place of care, and to make a positive impact on the biodiversity of our environment by creating their own, clandestine bird feeder.
All materials used are of course recycled, 100% natural and biodegradable.
